SolaCom Completes Significant Milestone for Royal Saudi Naval Forces C3

SolaCom’s engineering division has announced the completion of the design phase for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Command, Control and Communication system. Partnered with Baud Telecom (BTC), this constitutes a significant milestone in the delivery of a custom voice communications solution for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. The solution will provide the naval personnel with a communications system to exercise control of the fleet and other assets. The geographically decentralized architecture will provide geographical and logical redundancy between multiple sites and institutions.

SolaCom Fields Critical Infrastructure Protection Solution

The Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters is just one example of how SolaCom provided an outstanding Integrated Security Surveillance and Communication (IS2C) system solution to support emergency preparedness, intelligence gathering in support of Critical Infrastructure Protection. Working with Atlas Telecom, the deployment of the LibertySHIELD solution greatly improved the capability to provide situational awareness for the appropriate protection to UAE nation’s capital critical infrastructure.

SolaCom has an established record of providing reliable communication solutions in some of the most challenging environments and demanding operations world-wide. While we are equally proud of all of our customers, here are a few notable examples of our achievements:  

E9-1-1 Call Services

Working with VIXXI Solutions, Inc., a major U.S. provider of E9-1-1 services, SolaCom deployed its solution for E9-1-1 selective routing. Our Selective Router was linked with VIXXI’s industry- leading E9-1-1 database to enable VIXXI to offer E9-1-1 call handling services to VoIP Service Providers. E9-1-1 calls originating from VoIP users can now be routed correctly throughout the U.S. to any PSAP via either standard PSTN circuits or VoIP. The jointly defined critical communication solution also includes a cost-effective gateway that allows PSAP centers to directly accept E9-1-1 calls over VoIP without requiring upgrades to their existing equipment.

Enhanced Services with WiMax Compatibility

Working with established Independent Operating Companies (IOC) in the USA, to allow them to pursue new customers and revenues, SolaCom deployed its Enhanced Services Solution and worked with the IOCs to introduce Personal Number (PN) and other enhanced services. In addition SolaCom worked with SOMA Networks, a leading edge WiMax equipment supplier, to deliver the PN service to ‘out-of-region’ customer over the WiMax fixed radio system. The combination of Soma WiMax, and SolaCom enhanced services allowed the IOC to offer a unique service bundle and attract new customers.
