James Murphy

Jim Murphy is President of SolaCom U.S.A. Recently retired as Vice President and General Manager of General Dynamics Network Systems’ international business unit, Mr. Murphy is responsible for establishing and building SolaCom’s U.S.A operations, and for business development for SolaCom’s defense C4I and Homeland Security solutions.

H.C. (Skip) Armstrong

A member of SolaCom's Board of Directors, Skip Armstrong comes to SolaCom with a background in business development at General Dynamics Canada, Calgary operations, and is a retired General from the Canadian Air Force. He provides advice and guidance to SolaCom as it builds market share in defense C4I and Homeland Security with its LibertySHIELD solutions.

Larry E. Johnson CBE

Larry Johnson comes to SolaCom from General Dynamics United Kingdom, where he was President and Managing Director. He provides advice and guidance to SolaCom as it builds market share in defense C4I and homeland security with its LibertySHIELD solutions.

Alexander (Butch) Waldrum

Butch Waldrum provides SolaCom with business development advice and assistance in defense C4I, homeland security, air traffic control, and marine communications. He served with the Canadian Forces for 32 years, retiring as a Brigadier General, and was the Director of Logistics and Adminstration with United Nations Headquarters for 24 peacekeeping missions for two and one-half years.

Joe Gabriele

Joe Gabriele provides in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding Coast Guard and marine communications, acquired over a 32-year career with the Canadian Coast Guard. Joe was the project officer for many projects such as NAVTEX, Communications Control System (CCS), Differential Global Positioning (DGPS), Automated vessel Information System (AIS) and the Message and Data System (MDS).

Irwin D. Nathanson

Irwin D. Nathanson provides SolaCom with guidance and support to grow its ATC worldwide market share. Well known in the industry, Nate has been involved in ATC for almost 20 years through which he held numerous senior executive positions at such companies as Denro, Inc. and Drake Electronics, Ltd.  Nate is also a former Captain and Commanding Officer in the US Naval Reserve and a published author.
