EMBARQ moves towards Next Generation 9-1-1 with Solacom ESRP/SRs

GATINEAU, QC, Canada – June 3, 2009 – Solacom Technologies, a mission critical communications company, announced today that it has signed a definitive master agreement with EMBARQ to supply its ESP (Emergency Services Platform) ESRP/IP Selective Router to provide core IP 9-1-1 processing, routing and connectivity for legacy circuit-switched requirements.
This platform will be used by EMBARQ to provide a migration for its current and prospective 9-1-1 customers to an IP-based, NG9-1-1 compliant solution; including IP selective routing, delivery of 9-1-1 calls over IP and in the future will incorporate next-generation call types such as Emergency Messaging and Video.
