Jocelyn Racine named as CEO of Solacom Technologies

GATINEAU, QUEBEC, September 3, 2010 – Solacom has named Jocelyn Racine as its new Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Mr. Racine is responsible for leading all aspects of the company as it continues to develop advanced technology solutions for mission critical communications.

Mr. Racine replaces Franz Plangger, who founded Solacom in 1998. This transition began earlier in the year when Mr. Racine succeeded Mr. Plangger as President of the company.

“His depth of leadership experience, as well as his financial and operational expertise makes Jocelyn an ideal person for overseeing Solacom’s continued growth in North America and the Middle East,” said Plangger.

Mr. Plangger will continue to play a role at Solacom, serving as Senior Management Advisor, contributing knowledge and experience gained from over 28 years of achievements and milestones in the communications industry.

Jocelyn Racine, CMA – Biography
Jocelyn Racine joined Solacom in 1999 as Director of Finance and within two years was appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration. Mr. Racine has been instrumental in building a sound financial structure for the emerging company, as well as managing mergers and acquisitions, all company financing arrangements, tax, human resources, legal and international contracts and administrative matters.

Prior to Solacom, Mr. Racine was the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Le Groupe Brigil Construction, a group of 20 companies in the property development and housing sector. Earlier, he was a Member of the Management Accounting Group with KPMG Chartered Accountants, where he managed a wide variety of financial projects related to federal government departments as well as private companies.

Mr. Racine is a Certified Management Accountant and member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario since 1992.
