Solacom Adds Two Public Safety Industry Veterans to Sales Team
CHICAGO, Ill., May 1, 2018 — Solacom, a leader in 9-1-1 call handling and management solutions, welcomes two public safety industry veterans to its sales team. Mary Ehrsam joins Solacom as regional sales director for the Midwest region. Rob Drake is Solacom’s new regional sales director for the Northeast.
Ehrsam has 25 years of telecom and IT experience as Century Link’s lead account manager, where she was the top government account manager for 2017. She has worked closely with state and county governments in Wisconsin in 9-1-1 and public safety, and played a large role in educating governments and public safety answering points (PSAPs) in Wisconsin about Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). Solacom’s Midwest region includes Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Drake has held senior sales positions in the telecom and IT industry for over 30 years with Bell Atlantic/Verizon, Troxell Communications, and Panasonic North America. He has extensive experience working with state and local governments in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and the Atlantic region in 9-1-1, public safety, and law enforcement. He also served as a consultant on the New York City 9-1-1 system replacement. Solacom’s Northeast region covers New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware.
